Description
The Second Temple Model is located on the grounds of the Israel Museum next to the Shrine of the Book. The "model" is truly impressive being built on a scale of 1:50. It is an excellent place to learn about ancient Jerusalem as it provides a bird's-eye view of the city on the eve of it's destruction by the Romans in 70 C. E. The model also enables the visitor to connect with the holy places and historical sites visited or to be visited.
