Caesarea National Park is one of the most renowned archaeological sites in Israel. It contains magnificent remains from King Herod's port city including a theater (where concerts are still performed) and a hippodrome. The later Crusader fortifications are also impressive. Both Peter and Paul were active here making the site very important to Christians. Caesarea is located on the Mediterranean Coast about halfway between Tel Aviv and Haifa.
