The ancient wooden boat found on the shore of Kibbutz Ginosar in 1986, is one of the most important archaeological discoveries in the Holy Land. Dated to around the time of Jesus and his fisherman disciples, the boat has significant relevance to Christians. For Jews, the vessel is important as it might have participated in the naval Battle of Migdal during the Great Revolt against Rome. How the boat was extracted, preserved and finally presented to the public is an amazing story in itself!
