Description

Mount Bental is a dormant volcano on the Golan Heights. At an altitude of over 3,000 feet, the strategic peak provides spectacular views into Syria and of Mount Hermon. An Israeli military stronghold was built here over a Syrian bunker after fierce battles fought nearby in 1967 and again in !973. While not in use at the moment, it can be visited by the public.
