The Church of the Primacy of Saint Peter is located on the northwestern shore of the Sea of Galilee. It commemorates the miracle of the of the multiplication of the loaves and fish as well as the third appearance of Jesus after the Resurrection, according to the end of the Book of John. In contrast to the great churches and basillicas, this simple chapel is set in a serene setting which gives direct access to the Sea of Galilee for pilgrims.
