The Wyckoff Farmhouse Museum, at 5816 Clarendon Road, Brooklyn, is the oldest surviving structure in New York City. Built by Pieter Claesen Wyckoff and dating back to 1652, the Wyckoff Farmhouse remained in the family's hands until 1901. The structure was repurchased by the Wyckoff Family Association in 1961. The aged-building was granted protection by the newly-formed Landmarks Preservation Commission in 1965.
