Description
An unique, engraved stone object, believed to be a representation of the Temple, was found in the excavation of the Synagogue of Magdala. The synagogue is currently the oldest excavated synagogue in the Galilee and one of seven from the first century C.E. in all of Israel. Magdala is also believed to be the birthplace of Mary Magdalena.
